Edward Dutton & Mirjami Hänninen

November has been really international. My former client Mirjami married Mr Edward Dutton from England. Seems to me that studying abroad for a while is dangerous, you may find the love of your life. We decided to take the pictures in studio before the wedding. I bet the groom was surprised what kind of things he was made to do: this is one of my definite favourites. The young couple lives in Oulu at the moment. Fortunately Oulu is a little bit more international than our Kokkola on the west coast of Finland.

Sauna

During the cold winter it's a pleasure to spend 3 hours photographing in a sauna. We did Ketonen wall lights (www.ketonen.com) in several materials and Lapuan Kankurit were kind enough to give us towels to decorate the sauna with. Lapuan Kankurit has developed the famous sauna pillow. If any of you UK-people need one, I'll be seeing you in the Coventry convention in January (www.lapuankankurit.fi)

Marius & Catharina

Catharina and Marius have the honour of being the first couple in my brand new blog. My highschool graduate customer Catharina found her one and only from Norway. We had great fun photographing them in our medieval church on their wedding day. I had their friends as my assistants and used my poor school-swedish but wouldn't understand a word what the Norwegians said. The couple was absolutely glowing- it's so seldom easy to photograph on the wedding day - in our culture.
The new Myhre couple has settled in Kokkola and Marius didn't complain - I'm happy to tell.
