Sund-Turkka family visiting Kokkola

We made one of the first flip-album cds for a nice couple who were wed 2003. Flip-album is a digital album which you can browse from your computer, pc or mac. That gives you the chance of seeing all the photos taken and I take lots of photos in a session.
I'll allways be remembering the hot summer weeks of 2003. I thought we'll die when it's so hot and have to do all that careful lighting and the viewing session was a killer, 32 degrees inside the studio. Anyway I'll post one of the pictures soon. Summer couples can see how it looks if you don't use flowers at all.
Malin tells they 've moved back to Sweden after a while in Boston and are happy with all the experiences. Christmas brings a lot of former Kokkola people back to their original hometown.

Jon's sister from Oz

My Digital Wedding Forum friend Jon Jarvela's sister is visiting Finland and stopped at my studio with her cousin Elina.(Jon and Miriam and their family moved to Australia, Oz, when Jon was 10 months old)
Here's a nice winter photo I took of them.

Time for some marketing

Christmas time gives me time to think about marketing. Jenni-assistant printed me some nice envelopes with necessary info on them. The photo is from my "front yard", Mannerheim square. During winter time we'd love to do some photos for magazines and advertising.

Small wedding

Sometimes photography can be the major program in a wedding. With this couple we wanted to capture the athmosphere of the day and did the photography in our medieval church before the wedding itself. Sun set around 3 pm and there wasn't a lot of ambient light from outside, here mainly the church lights.

Fur and hair

In co-operation with the famous hair dresser Marjo Ahola & the fur company Kokkolan Turkis we made photos for the hairdressers own magazine, Pinni. Model is my former client, a beatiful bride called Emma

Hairspray

My assistant and right hand Jenni Mattila worked on haircosmetics and to for example this photo of a hairspray bottle, my very favourite kind, imported from Italy by Vitalia Oy, Vaasa

Graduation pictures

Linda Sundell started our highschool graduation Fall season. Making portraits is not an easy task: Lindas eyes blinked a lot and we had to fight to get pictures w eyes nicely open. This is why shooting digital is so great: we know where we are standing. These fresh photos from yesterday reveal Lindas beautiful face and the almond eyes. Tonight we have the proofing session and I'll learn what she thinks.
